Agora Trading Platform (ATP) is an open source trading system platform with ambigous goals: It aims to be number one free and open trading platform that can be used by indivual traders and large financial organizations. It is an umbrella project that consist/will consist of many sub projects. First and foremost, it provide fundamental automated trading system infrastructure like a technical analysis library, data(time series) analysis, trading strategy development, simulation, exchange and external systems connectivity with FIX and custom protocols, PLUS a nice real-time trading GUI.

ATP will provide a much needed open trading system environment. It is based on a very liberal Apache software license license with a slight restriction: Although Apache license govern all personal and research usage, for commercial usage, users must be willing to register their names so that they will be listed on "ATP users" section of our site. That is all. We have imposed this restriction for the benefit of users indeed: We do not want prospective organizational users avoid using ATP on the basis of not being able to verify that it is being used by many other large organizations. We WANT ATP to be adopted as many people and organization as possible. That is motivation behind this restriction really.
